The larger the opening into a building, the more vulnerable it is and the more attractive it becomes as an entry point for intruders. Many commercial buildings need substantial access points for loading bays or for storage of plant and machinery.

At The Shutter Grille and Gate Co we manufacture overhead doors in several styles, allowing access to be combined with security. Our top opening (to maximise opening widths) doors are custom made from hinged metal plates, metal shutters blades, steel or aluminium sections or one piece sheets. We can insulate them, for heat and noise control, and inset transparent sections for light and vision. They can be operated on a once-a-day basis or when required, using radar, infra-red or wireless triggers.

Motorised or manual, running in reinforced side channels and having robust bottom locking bars, they provide effective security from single garage size up to complete loading docks tens of metres wide.
